“Fun, Friendship and Fraternity”

To provide Players (over 35 years of age) from any Country with an environment in which Sportsmanship and Camaraderie thrive. The Ethos of EGOR Festivals are Fun Friendship and Fraternity and the targets are former Rugby Players retired from competition but still wishing to continue participating in their favorite sport for pure fun and enjoyment.

The Festivals are organized to provide an environment for participants to create new friendships and renew old friendships.

The Festivals provide opportunities for team members and their families to travel to great and exciting cities being hosted by their local friends, a great way to learn about different cultures.

The Festivals provide the opportunity for everyone to promote Rugby and its values throughout the World and to create positive relations with Clubs, Rugby Development Teams and Charities in the cities hosting the Festivals.

EGOR Festivals are open to men and women over 35 years of age from any part of Europe and Guest Teams from outside Europe can be accepted with the Agreement of EGOR and the Local Organizing Committee. Whether you are part of an established Team or you are an individual or a group of Friends looking to join a Festival – you are welcome.

Playing Laws

The aims of the Laws and the Variations provide the best environment in which Player enjoyment is maximum and the possibility of injury is minimum. Sportsmanship and Camaraderie are imperative in all Golden Oldies Matches and Fests.
